All the MYOs created in Jun-Oct 2021 have expired! Tickets have been given out to all users who's MYOs expired.

This concludes the MYO freeze!

I'm sorry it took so long for me to update that, things are really stressful for me right now with my move happening. Please be on the lookout for a special event in the future, we have something fun planned for you guys to celebrate the end of the MYO freeze before we officially open the shops back up!

As of this announcement we have 319 approved Crysvalonites and 372 unused MYO slots.

MYO slots will slowly begin to expire after this in an attempt to remove them from inactive members and bring the number down. The only exception is slots bought with real money.

Here is the way that slots will start to expire and vanish:

-Breeding slots created this month will expire on February 1, 2024

-MYO slots created in 2020 expire on May 1, 2023

-MYO Slots created in Jan 2021 expire on June 1, 2023

-MYO Slots created in Feb 2021 expire on July 1, 2023

-MYO Slots created in Mar 2021 expire on August 1, 2023

-MYO Slots created in Apr & May 2021 expire on September 1, 2023

-MYO Slots created in Jun-Oct 2021 expire on October 1, 2023

-MYO Slots created in Nov 2021 expire on November 1, 2023

The MYO freeze will be removed after the number of MYO slots has been lowered to 250 or less.

In order to see when your slots were created, go to the page of the slot you're checking and scroll down to see the stats tab. You should be able to see when the slot was created.

I'd like to announce our newest NPC, Cupid! Read more about him in #meet-the-npcs in the discord server! After the retirement of LunarShine, Cupid has stepped in to be our breeder! I will be training YeetMeDown this year to take on the role of breeder so please be patient this year as he is still learning~

That aside, I do have an important announcement about breeding MYOs this year. As you guys know, we are still on the MYO freeze because MYO slots still heavily outweigh the amount of approved designs. Because of this, the admin team and I have made the decision to put an expiration date on breeding MYOs this year.

ALL breeding MYOs obtained this year must be put in for approval on the website by February 1, 2024 or they will mysteriously vanish!

We know people don't like time limits on their MYOs, but this gives people almost a full 12 months to get their slots used. I cannot hold MYO events or give them out as prizes until we can bring the number down. Collecting MYOs does more harm than good and it honestly makes me feel sad to see the amount of unused things in peoples inventory.

Sorry for the mini rant, I just really hate that I've had this freeze going for like 2 years now and only a few slots have actually been used in that time despite the incentives and ideas we've provided.

TLDR; We have a new breeding NPC and breeding MYOs from this year expire on February 1, 2024

Hey everyone I have huge news for all pet lovers!

After multiple months of work, we have a new fun system for pets to be able to have some love and be more of a part of the species! We would like to introduce the new fun pet-based zone that anyone can participate in better known as pet-adventure-zone . The rules and some general information can be found in the pet-quest-info.

Here anyone can send their pets on fun quests to be able to get some money, items, and more special rewards via prompts and events! These are monthly-based prompts. So come check it out and have some fun with us!

In regards to previously issued and currently, existing Myos':

They can be redeemed in accordance with the new system.

Example:

Uncommon MYO unlocks~

-Everyday pets (common)

-Tropical Paradise (uncommon)

-Arctic Tundra (uncommon)

Mind you you will still need to submit your pet myos via the site and have them approved before you can use them in any quest, so if you need help with that please make sure to check out the website-guide area or feel free to ask in ask-admins if you need further help.

+ It has now been 9 months since we started our monthly-raffle-designs and since then have only had one entry. Due to lack of interest, the raffle designs will now be able to be sold/traded/gifted/ect by their designers.

+ I will NOT be restocking MYOs until the number of unused MYOs dips below 600 at the minimum. We currently have ~656 unused MYO slots.

+ That being said, I will be bringing back the MYO upgrades for a week or two. If you weren't here for that, please take a look at this announcement made last year: https://discord.com/channels/739695382115647568/739715464191541280/913840124964536381 I haven't checked the doc to make sure everything is up to date, but I will make another announcement when upgrades are available with a link to the info doc. I am also working on an idea to let you guys exchange your unused MYO slots for stuff~

+ You may have noticed a lack of events this year. This is because the staff and some choice members (even non-members) have been helping behind-the-scenes set up some really cool lore for you all to enjoy! Nothing is finished yet, but I hope to start holding events again. This does, however, depend on your participation. The more I see you guys participating in prompts and small events (giveaways don't count), the more likely we are to put out more events!

+ I know this message is lengthy, but I have to get across that I am disappointed in the lack of participation. We are hard at work trying to make things more fun and engaging, but without any feedback from you guys we can't figure out how to make things better. Please send us your honest feedback, suggestions, anything like that. If we don't know what you guys want to see we can't provide!

After some thought, I've decided that if September rolls around and the monthly-raffle-designs still have no entries, the designers of the dragons are free to sell their designs and we will no longer be doing the raffles.

The raffles were put in place to encourage you guys to use all those MYOs that have been sitting around gathering dust and while a few have been used, nobody has entered into the raffles. If free designs aren't a good incentive to get these MYOs used, then we won't offer them anymore.

The activity level of the species/server has gone down drastically. So much so that I barely bothered to make too many drops for the Under The Sea event since only the same users were the ones claiming drops. I want to see some activity in here again so if you have suggestions, please throw them at us in suggestions-and-ideas

Some of you may notice that there's been a slight change in the staff lineup. After a conversation between us, JusticeWereWolf and I have come to the decision that her role on our team will be changed. She is now a @Crystal instead of a @Archeologist ~ I'm making this announcement purely to make sure our members are aware of staff changes~ I don't want to leave any of you in the dark! With this change, LunarShine will be retired from his position as our breeder NPC. His gemstone will be changed to honor the world lore and a new breeder will be made. Thankfully breeding only happens once a year, so these changes do have time to take place. Per her request, I will be raffling off some moonstones from Justice's inventory so keep an eye on discord-events !

I'm sure many of you realize that the MYO shop is still out of stock from my announcement last November. This is because we still have an overwhelming amount of unused MYOs on the site! The raffles in monthly-raffle-designs have been created to give you guys incentive to work on them, but we haven't had any entries and thus the designs still have no owners. I would love to be able to hold things like MYO events again, but I will not be doing that until we have fewer unused MYO slots. I know and understand life is busy so you may not be able to take the time to design your slots however, I do not want people hoarding slots and them going unused for months, even years at a time, or hoarding them just to resell. I myself am even guilty of hoarding so I'm not going to pretend like I'm not also to blame for some of the very old unused slots.

MYO slots will not be given out as prizes for level-ups or events while the shop is out of stock. The only exception is the prizes for the second annual Under the Sea Hunt event happening in May. Those of you who haven't opened the 3rd-anniversary box in your inventory, when you open them you will still get the MYO tickets that everyone else did, just DM me to let me know you opened it so I can turn them into slots for you to use. Breeding MYOs are unaffected by this, you guys will still get your slots. Pet MYOs are also unaffected by this, those are controlled by our pet shop owner.

We have almost 400 MYO slots (and there will be more than that once all the breeding slots and gift slots are uploaded) right now, let's please try to knock that number down by half at the least~

50 yellow powder will get you 1 orange fragment

2 orange fragments will get you 1 red shard

5 red shards will get you 1 blue cluster

2 blue clusters will get you 1 jewel

and vice versa

As I'm sure you guys have heard by now, we have been planning something to hopefully motivate you guys to use those MYO slots you've been storing away. Well, here's the plan! Every month, we shall hold a couple raffles for pre-made designs. For every MYO that you get approved in that month, your name will be put into the "hat" for the design of your choice! So the more MYOs you use in a month, the higher your chances are to get the design you want! There will be a new channel to showcase the raffle designs for the month so keep your eyes peeled. Sorry for the seemingly random ping, but the staff team and I have an exciting announcement! Starting January 1st, we will have a new tier system! (Again? Yes again lol) There's a lot of changes going on behind the scenes and to make things easier and get ready for some more cool changes, the tier system will be reworked! We're switching to a 8-tier system now (tier 1-illegal)! There are going to be some slight price changes, but nothing too drastic! Speaking of prices, items will be being repriced starting in January! We have come to the conclusion that a lot of the items are too easy to obtain (like the illegal potion) so to fix that (along with the influx of currency in everyone's banks), prices will be raised~ Though because the site currency is not exact, items will not be able to be sold or bought for irl money until a price guide is created for that (that way nobody is paying like $20 for a common potion or something crazy like that) I hope you guys are just as excited for the new year as we are, there's going to be a ton of new things for everyone to enjoy!

You guys may have noticed a small change in one of our currencies! The blue shard has been renamed! It will now be called blue cluster(s) instead! That way all our currencies have unique names and don't feel like copies~

You might notice a few things happening on the site right now.

The first being that the pet myo shop is still closed (out of stock)! This is because our pets are being re-worked to make things easier on our pet shop owner!

The second is that the regular myo shop is also closed (out of stock). I have noticed a vast increase in myos never being used, so in an effort to minimize that the myo shop will be closed for a little while.
What does this mean? It just means you can’t buy them from the store for a while, you can still trade/sell/giveaway amongst each other though!
I’m currently in the process of changing everyone’s myo tickets into slots so I can get an idea of how many myos there actually are.
I am also thinking of ideas to motivate everyone to use their slots, that way they don’t just sit there and as a way to hopefully increase activity within Crysvalonia!
There will still be plenty of raffles and pre-made designs available while the myo shop is closed though so don’t fret~ The closing is only temporary after all!

Good morning everyone! It's not quite June yet, but I wanted to get a head start on this.

June is a month of celebration for Crysvalonia! Why? No, it's not because of pride month, though that's enough reason to celebrate. It's because of our species anniversary!

Three years ago, I started the gemstone ponies group again after failing to get it on it's feet a few years prior. We started out with a small 4 person team that eventually expanded to the team we have now. There's been lots of ups and downs throughout the journey to expand the world of Crysvalonia and there will likely be many more as we continue to grow.

If anyone back then had told me that this group would grow to as big as it is, I would have called them crazy, yet here we all are. So I want to thank each and every one of you, from the staff team that has my back, to the active members, to the members that watch from the shadows, to the retired staff, to those who support us without being an active part of the community, to ALL of you I say THANK YOU! Thank you for being here with me.

I've sent a special 3rd anniversary giftbox to all of you on the site so that you all can celebrate this milestone with me! Here's to another 3 years guys!
